Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your data.

Last updated: July 22, 2022

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this Service (Data Controller under the GDPR) is:
Love & Faith GmbH, Neuseser Str. 19, 90455 Nürnberg, Germany.
Email: privacy@emace.io

2. Scope

This policy explains the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use the Emace application and website (emace.io) and describes your rights and how the law protects you.

3. Data We Process

  • Account data — name, email address, billing details and login credentials you provide when creating an account.
  • Order & customization data — Amazon Custom order information processed on your behalf, including buyer-provided customization (text, images, positioning) and the resulting print files.
  • Fulfillment data — data exchanged with connected production partners (e.g. Printlabs, Merchone), such as SKUs, print files and shipping/tracking information.
  • Usage & technical data — IP address, device/browser type, log data and cookies needed to operate and secure the Service.

4. Purposes & Legal Bases

  • Providing the Service and performing our contract with you — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Generating print files and forwarding orders to your chosen fulfillment partner, and syncing tracking back to Amazon — Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
  • Billing, security, fraud prevention and legal compliance — Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR.
  • Optional communications you consent to — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

5. Sharing & Recipients

We share data only as needed to deliver the Service: with the fulfillment partners you connect, with Amazon (for order and tracking synchronization), and with processors that host and operate our infrastructure. Where required, we conclude data processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR). We do not sell your personal data.

6. International Transfers

Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

7. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, to comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax/commercial retention periods), and to resolve disputes. Order data is retained as required for fulfillment and statutory record-keeping.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@emace.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA (including access, deletion, correction and opt-out of "sale/share"); to exercise them, contact privacy@emace.io.

9. Cookies & tracking

We use both session and persistent cookies: necessary/essential cookies to run the Service and authenticate users; functionality cookies to remember your choices (e.g. language); and, with your consent, analytics/performance cookies to understand and improve usage. You can change your choice anytime via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer or your browser settings.

10. Analytics & third-party services

With your consent we may use Google Analytics to analyse usage. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on and Google's controls (policies.google.com/privacy). We use Google reCAPTCHA (including invisible reCAPTCHA) to protect against abuse; it may collect information from you and your device for security purposes under Google's Privacy Policy.

11. Payments

Paid plans are processed by third-party payment processors — e.g. Stripe, PayPal and WorldPay. We do not store or collect your full payment-card details; that information is provided directly to the PCI-DSS-compliant processor, whose use of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.

12. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. Regular backups are performed, although no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

13. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verified parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

14. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy with an updated "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email or a prominent notice on the Service.
